I don't want to have to moderate comments, but I will occasionally delete comments that meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Off-topic: If you are rambling at length about atheism on a post about copyright law or organic agriculture, expect to be ignored at best and removed at worst.

- Link Bombs: If your comment contains several links with little or no personal remarks on the nature of those links, it will be deleted. I don't care whether you're trying to drum up popularity for your own sites/videos or if you just don't have the wit to make cogent points on your own. If you want to have a link farm, do it on your own site.
- Nonsense: If your comment is composed of incoherent gibberish with no regard for capitalisation, spelling, punctuation, or grammar, it will be removed.

- Threats: If you threaten anyone, you're out the door.
you are ENEMIES OF GOD AND ARE GOING TO BE ANNIHILATED...
Repent and turn to God or be destroyed...
- Spam: This probably goes without saying, but if you're trying to sell cheap sneakers in the comments section of my blog, your post will be removed.
- Copypasta: If you're planning to copy and paste reams of unsourced text from elsewhere into the comments section, don't bother. Also, posting the same comment verbatim to multiple posts will result in banning and the duplicates being deleted.
Based on the divers comments that DM has posted to this blog (and many others, including Pharyngula, EEA, and AE), it seems likely to me that he may be mentally ill. He is not welcome here, but I encourage him to seek help.
Keep it on topic, keep it constructive, and don't make it personal. Posts that contain threats will not be tolerated. If you're going to be a troll, you're not welcome. This comment policy is, of course, subject to revision.
